Besides, in searching through ALL of this unit's User Manuals (It's quite extensive!) there is NOWHERE that specifies being able to begin a scan from the MFP itself! We set the UNC (SMB) path as you said, it already had two lines for us to enter to, Top one was the computer's IP (being used as a server in this case) and second line was where we put the path of the Shared Folder we want it to scan to. They're telling us there are no function buttons or options on the unit itself to select "Scan" nor where you want to scan to.("browse to a destination%uFEFF") I am finding that hard to believe, but have to rely upon what our clients tell us over the phone. We are actully a support team for the company using this machine and are running up against a wall with them. %uFEFFIn answer to Will's question, the OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. Quoting Will: "USB Scanning from any MFP is simply a pain." Okay, I do have it connected to the network, not through a USB, it has it's own IP address, and the both DNS and Subnet mask are entered correctly.
